Nintendo DS

Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS was released in 2004. One of the system's unique features is its second screen - hence the name Nintendo DS or Dual Screen. The addition of the second screen adds a new dimension to many games. In a racing game, you might see your own vehicle's perspective on one screen and an overall track view on the other.

Other noteable features include:
  • Wireless Networking
  • Touch Screen Technology
  • Microphone Port
  • Improved Stero Sound

Nintendo DS is the first Nintendo portable capable of serious 3-dimensional graphics, and many of the DS games take advantage of this power. In addition the Nintendo DS is able to play all games released for the Game Boy Advance.
