Amazon.com has the Nintendo Wii starting Nov 19, 2006.
Nintendo's next-generation game console, which has been dubbed Nintendo Wii is scheduled to be released November 19, 2006 at a price of $250.
The Nintendo Wii console plays uses 12" optical discs and also plays Nintendo GameCube discs. In addition a "Virtual Console" allows gamers to download classic NES, Super NES, and Nintendo 64 titles for play on the system.
The system supports wireless connectivity with the Nintendo DS. The system also supports DVD video playback (whether this will be a high definition format is unknown).
